Photo exhibition: “Tibet’s many faces” in Tromsø (North Norway) 10 March, 2011
It is ten years ago since Tibet’s leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama was awarded an honorary degree at the University of Tromsø. In order to mark this anniversary Tromsø University Museum will open a photo exhibition called Tibet’s Many Faces. The photographer is Annika Hagstrøm, student of history of arts at the University of Bergen. Her meeting with a Tibetan woman in the Jokhang temple in Lhasa ignited this exhibition which has the goal to show Tibet and the culture of Tibet so that it will not be forgotten and to bring attention to Tibet again.
